Elsie Allen put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pacific Union College Prep 61-32 at home. The victory was just what Elsie Allen needed coming off of a 50-26 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Rancho Cotate earned a 56-49 win over Middletown on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rancho Cotate.
It was another big night for Adam Pengel, who scored 30 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Rancho Cotate's points. Another player making a difference was Decimus Shaw, who scored 17 points.
Elsie Allen's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Rancho Cotate, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 9-11.
Elsie Allen opened the new year with a less-than-successful 49-42 defeat to Rancho Cotate.
