Northside won the last time they faced Gardendale and things went their way on Friday too. The Northside Rams won by a run and slipped past the Gardendale Rockets 2-1.

Baylee Appling looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Northside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Stripling, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

The win got Northside back to even at 1-1. As for Gardendale, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northside will challenge Tuscaloosa County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gardendale, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will face off against Hoover at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
