Basketball Recap: Western Branch Comes Up Short

On Tuesday, the Western Branch Bruins came up short against the Princess Anne Cavaliers and fell 76-65. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 75th).

Western Branch has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Princess Anne, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western Branch will square off against Nansemond River at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Princess Anne, they will take on Salem at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
