Volleyball Recap: Navarre Find Success

Navarre's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Destin Sharks.

Navarre had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-10.

Their offense was headlined by Katelyn Weller and Rhyan Schorzman, who picked up 15 kills apiece. They got some help from Anna Wagner and her 19 assists. Isabel Gutierrez controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Navarre's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Destin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Navarre has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Gulf Breeze on the 6th. As for Destin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Pace on the 4th.
