Basketball Recap: Oakland Christian Comes Up Short

Oakland Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 71-52 bruising from the Inter-City Baptist Chargers. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 399th, while the Chargers are ranked 82nd).

Oakland Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Inter-City Baptist, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakland Christian will host Roeper at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Roeper has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Inter-City Baptist, they will welcome Southfield Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Inter-City Baptist's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matches.
