Volleyball Recap: South Iron Comes Up Short

South Iron lost against Bell City back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Cubs. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Their offense was headlined by Talia Shaw and Ellie Parker, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Alayna Darian and her three assists. Alee Martin controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

South Iron's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Bell City, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

South Iron has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against New Madrid County Central on the 13th. As for Bell City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Kingston on the 13th.
