Basketball Recap: Ralston Takes a Loss

Ralston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 29th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Gross Catholic Cougars, falling 81-12. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-6.

They used a three-pronged attack on offense: Lesly Davila Rios, Kat Busenbark, and Andi Radji posted three points each. Lilly Elsasser held things down on the boards with four rebounds.

Ralston's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Gross Catholic, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Ralston didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-12 defeat against Fort Calhoun on the 30th. As for Gross Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 48-45 victory against Aurora on the 27th.
