Basketball Recap: Hicksville Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

While Hicksville didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They strolled past the Bryan Golden Bears with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 49-33. The Aces' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Hicksville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Owen Stuckey out in front who went 8 for 17 on his way to 19 points. The dominant performance gave Stuckey a new career-high in points. Garrett Turnbull was another key player, going 5 for 12 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds.

Bryan's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Dominique, who posted seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Kennedy, who had six points.

Hicksville's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Bryan, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-2.

Hicksville will host Pettisville at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th. As for Bryan, they will challenge Stryker at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
