It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lake Central had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Washington Township Senators 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Danny Smith paced Lake Central's offense, picking up nine kills. Smith got some help from Brady Cook and his 26 assists. Cook also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Paul Hilvert, racking up two apiece.

Lake Central's win bumped their record up to 29-6. As for Washington Township, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 20-4 record.

After both having extra time off, Lake Central and Cathedral will shake off the rust and duke it out at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Fighting Irish will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight.
