Volleyball Recap: Sahuaro Falls to Crismon in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Sahuaro kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Crismon Rattlers, falling 3-0. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Rattlers when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-13, 25-6.

Alexia Gould paced Sahuaro's offense, picking up five kills. Gould got some help from Zoeeann Plotts and her six assists. Finally, Kaylie Rice kept Sahuaro's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

After both having extra time off, Sahuaro and Poston Butte will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Crismon, they will take on Maricopa at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
