Poly and Long Beach Poly squared off in some playoff action  on Tuesday, but Poly had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Jackrabbits by a score of  4-3. The Bears' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Poly got a good showing from  Jacob DeVincenzo, who   tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. DeVincenzo has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in seven consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Lucas Burton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI and one  double.  Mayan De Nava was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
Poly's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Long Beach Poly, they pushed their record up to 16-13 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home.
 Poly does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Long Beach Poly, they will take on Camarillo at 3:15  p.m.  on Friday. The Scorpions will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something the Jackrabbits surely won't give up without a fight.
