Baseball Game Preview: Pinnacle Pioneers vs. Boulder Creek Jaguars

The Pinnacle Pioneers will face off against the Boulder Creek Jaguars at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Pinnacle had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Boulder Creek on Tuesday. The Pioneers blew past the Jaguars 14-2. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Pioneers this season.

Trenton Pater was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Green, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Pinnacle lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more home runs.

Boulder Creek is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-16. As for Pinnacle, they now have a winning record of 12-11-1.
