Volleyball Recap: Hardin Takes a Loss

Hardin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lockwood LIONS. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the LIONS when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hardin took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-20, 24-26, 25-21, 15-2.

When it comes to explaining why Hardin lost, don't look at Ella Carleton. Despite the final result, she had 37 digs and three assists. Carleton has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Hardin's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lockwood, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Hardin is set to challenge their familiar foe Laurel at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Lockwood will square off against rival Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
