Football Recap: Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) Comes Up Short

Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) dropped to 6-3 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They were beaten by the Killian Cougars 55-6. Having soared to a lofty 47 points in the game before, the Stallions couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Killian, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.4 points on average over those games.

Kymani Corbett had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 406 yards and six touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes. Those six passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Anton Smith also helped with two scores in total.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) will welcome BridgePrep Village Green at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Killian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Belen Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
