Softball Game Preview: Jacksboro Tigers vs. Wall Hawks

The Jacksboro Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Wall Hawks on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Jacksboro is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over Eastland. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won six matches in a row.

Brooke Reaves made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Shelby Seaberry and Rylee Bennett did most of the damage at the plate: Seaberry went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs, while Bennett got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. That's the most hits Seaberry has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Brailyn Tullous, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base.

Jacksboro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They are 15-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Wall waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Buffaloes 16-7.

Jacksboro's record now sits at 21-11-1. As for Wall, their record is now 24-7.
