Soccer Game Preview: Pine Forest vs. Booker T. Washington

Pine Forest is 0-3 against Booker T. Washington since November of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Pine Forest Eagles will challenge the Booker T. Washington Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Pine Forest is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They blew past Escambia 4-1. The result kept the Eagles happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 4, 2024.

Meanwhile, Booker T. Washington put another one in the bag two weeks ago to keep their undefeated season alive. They put the hurt on West Florida with a sharp 6-1 victory. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked second, while the Jaguars are ranked 112th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Booker T. Washington's offense was hitting West Florida from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Jace Tran led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Pine Forest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 61 goals over those 12 matches. As for Booker T. Washington, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-0-1.

Pine Forest suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Booker T. Washington in their previous meeting back in January of 2022. Can Pine Forest avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
