Baseball Recap: Chilton County Tigers vs. Benjamin Russell Wildcats

After flying high against Foley last Thursday, Chilton County came back down to earth. The Tigers took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Benjamin Russell Wildcats on Tuesday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Ethan Benson was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. That one hit allowed gave him a new career-low.

At the plate, Brock Porter and J.D. Terrell did some serious damage despite the final result: Porter scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Terrell went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Chilton County's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Benjamin Russell, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-10-1.
