Soccer Game Preview: The Linsly School vs. Wheeling Park

The Linsly School is 0-10 against Wheeling Park since September of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Cadets will face off against the Patriots at 6:00 p.m.

The Linsly School fell victim to Oak Glen and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Bears.

Meanwhile, Wheeling Park faced University in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Patriots' defense stepped up to hand the Hawks a 4-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for Wheeling Park in their matchups with University: they've now won eight in a row.

The Linsly School's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Wheeling Park, their win bumped their record up to 12-0-1.

The Linsly School suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Wheeling Park in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Cadets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
