Baseball Recap: Elsberry Comes Up Short

Wright City hit Elsberry with a four-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians lost 11-5 to the Wildcats. The Indians were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Elsberry now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Wright City, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-15.

Coming up, Elsberry will face off against Mark Twain at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests. As for Wright City, they are taking a road trip to challenge Fulton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
