Basketball Recap: Amboy Takes Down Morgan Park Academy in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Amboy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 54-26 victory over the Morgan Park Academy Warriors. The Clippers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Morgan Park Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tiara Williams posted 18 points and five steals. Williams' evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points.

The win (which was Amboy's ninth in a row) raised their record to 26-7. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.9 points on average over those games. As for Morgan Park Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 22-7.

As of now, neither Amboy nor Morgan Park Academy have any future games scheduled.
