Football Recap: John Hancock Academy Rebels vs. David Emanuel Academy Eagles
John Hancock Academy fell victim to David Emanuel Academy and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the David Emanuel Academy Eagles 44-0. The Rebels haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
A big part of the win came down to the chemistry between Richard Braddy and his top target Sailor Powell. Braddy threw for 120 yards and three touchdowns on only eight passes while Powell gained 152 total yards and three touchdowns. Powell got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 75 yards.
John Hancock Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for David Emanuel Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. John Hancock Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Harvester Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for David Emanuel Academy, they will challenge Vidalia Heritage Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
