Pace is 8-2 against Navarre since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Pace will take on Navarre at 6:30 p.m. Pace's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so Navarre's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Pace is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Florida's top teams: Jay, who was ranked 19th at the time (Pace was ranked third). Pace came up short against Jay on Friday, falling 17-6. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Patriots, who until this game were averaging 1.91 runs allowed.

Ashley Pickard and Britten Kettler did some serious damage despite the final result: Pickard went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Kettler went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those two hits gave Pickard a new career-high.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Navarre and Gulf Breeze meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. Navarre took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gulf Breeze.
Natalia Taylor was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Adison Mobley, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Navarre's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Pace, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 10-1.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pace hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .332. However, it's not like Navarre struggles in that department as they've averaged .324. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Pace's way against Navarre when the teams last played on March 3rd, as Pace made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pace since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
