Basketball Recap: St. John's Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Patrick Henry Academy last Friday, St. John's Christian Academy came back down to earth. The St. John's Christian Academy Cavaliers were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 56-55 to the Charleston Collegiate Sundevils. The Cavaliers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sundevils apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.

St. John's Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Charleston Collegiate, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

St. John's Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pinewood Prep at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Charleston Collegiate will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Academic Magnet at 8:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
