Basketball Recap: Fleming Takes a Loss

Fleming was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Peetz Bulldogs, falling 68-36. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-16.

Fleming lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jared Betley, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaron Monroe, who had five points and three steals.

It was another big night for Connor Schumacher, who went 8 of 15 en route to 22 points along with five rebounds and four steals for Peetz. Rhyder Bayne was another key player, going 5 for 10 on his way to 14 points and four steals.

Fleming's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Peetz, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

Fleming didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-33 win against Genoa-Hugo/Karval on the 28th. As for Peetz, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 69-51 victory against Caliche on the 28th.
