Soccer Recap: Mohave Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Mohave's offense. They lost 8-0 to the Mingus Marauders on Thursday. The Thunderbirds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Marauders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Mohave was without their leading scorer, Paxten Bristol, in Thursday's match. With Bristol sidelined, Mohave had to make some changes to the lineup. Rosalinda Garcia played for 52 minutes having averaged 28.6 this season and Montserrat Lerma got 75 vs. an average of 29.7.

Mohave has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Mingus, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.

As of now, neither Mohave nor Mingus have any future games scheduled.
