Basketball Recap: Heritage Victorious

Heritage saw some tournament action on Thursday. They came out on top against the Southlake Carroll Dragons by a score of 69-61. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Charlie Gilloth had an outrageously good game as he shot 67% from the field en route to 24 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The game was his fourth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Cruz Johnson, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 12 points and seven rebounds.

Heritage's record now sits at 2-0. As for Southlake Carroll, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-6.

Heritage didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 77-61 defeat against Birdville on the 5th. As for Southlake Carroll, they have also already played their next contest, a 67-48 victory against Fort Worth Christian on the 5th.
