Softball Recap: Peters Township's Losing Streak Snapped at Eight Games

Peters Township had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Albert Gallatin Colonials on Monday.

Laney Mountain spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits.

On the hitting side, Peters Township got a massive performance out of Avery Carson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles Carson has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylin Fusco, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and two doubles.

Peters Township's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 3-10. As for Albert Gallatin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
