Recap: Masuk Panthers vs. New Milford Green Wave
The Masuk Panthers had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 57-53 W over New Milford on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Masuk also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
New Milford's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Armani Checo, who scored 22 points, and Ryan Esposito who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Kelvin Mendoza was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds.
Masuk's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for New Milford, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Bethel the next time they take the court. New Milford will host Bethel at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Masuk will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
