Softball Recap: East Ridge Takes a Loss

East Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-2 to the Betsy Layne Bobcats. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

East Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, East Ridge will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Pikeville at 6:00 p.m. This will be East Ridge's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Betsy Layne, they will head out on the road to square off against Phelps at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Betsy Layne is facing Phelps at the right time seeing as Phelps is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
