Softball Recap: Franklin Heights' Losing Streak Snapped at Ten Games

Franklin Heights can bid farewell to their ten-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 27-17 margin over the Harvest Prep Warriors. The Falcons not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since March 22nd.

Kelsey Lehman and Brianna Flores-Perez did most of the damage at the plate: Lehman scored five runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances, while Flores-Perez went 3-for-4 with eight stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. With that strong performance, Lehman is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. McKayla Lemon also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Franklin Heights always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .745. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Franklin Heights' win bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Harvest Prep, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Franklin Heights will take on Bishop Ready at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Harvest Prep, they will head out to challenge West at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
