Softball Recap: Skyridge Comes Up Short

Skyridge and Lehi squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Skyridge had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Falcons couldn't push the score so high this time.

Skyridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maylee Walston, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Skyridge's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Lehi, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-8.

While Skyridge had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
