Football Game Preview: Grace Community Cougars vs. Regents Knights

The Grace Community Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the Regents Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grace Community has given up an average of 34.3 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Grace Community is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 33 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Brook Hill on Friday. They were beaten by the Guard 44-10.

Meanwhile, Regents strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They breezed past Bishop Dunne to the tune of 49-6. The Knights' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Grace Community better keep an eye on Jack Devine. He was instrumental in Regents' win, rushing for 65 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five carries, while also throwing for 150 yards and three TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes. What's more, Devine racked up 161.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.

Grace Community's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Regents, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

Grace Community was taken down by Regents 42-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
