Soccer Game Preview: Caroline vs. James Monroe

The Caroline Cavaliers will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the James Monroe Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Caroline is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They lost 5-1 to Courtland back in March. Ariya Bolden was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on her (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Meanwhile, James Monroe fell victim to Eastern View and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Cyclones, falling 6-0. The loss continues a trend for James Monroe in their meetings with Eastern View: they've now lost six in a row.

Caroline took their victory against James Monroe in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-0 score. Will the Cavaliers repeat their success, or do the Yellow Jackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
