Baseball Recap: Mt. Ararat's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Mt. Ararat entered their tilt with Brewer on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Witches by a score of 4-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Mt. Ararat got a great performance from Eli Imrie as he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Imrie has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

Mt. Ararat pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Brewer, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mt. Ararat is set to take on their familiar foe Edward Little at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Brewer will square off against rival Hampden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Witches 3.2, the Broncos 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
