Preview: Kentridge Chargers vs. Kennedy Catholic Lancers
Kentridge is 10-0 against Kennedy Catholic since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Kentridge Chargers will head out on the road to take on the Kennedy Catholic Lancers at 12:30 p.m. Kentridge is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
Decatur typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Kentridge proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 59-48 win over the Golden Gators.
Sophie Solomon was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Kalia Washington, who scored 12 points.
Kennedy Catholic posted their closest victory yet this season on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Mt. Rainier and snuck past 39-37. The win was just what Kennedy Catholic needed coming off of a 59-25 defeat in their prior contest.
Kentridge's record is now 11-7. Kennedy Catholic's record now sits at 7-10.
Kentridge beat Kennedy Catholic 46-33 when the teams last played on January 5th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kentridge since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
