Basketball Recap: Oswego Takes a Loss

Oswego lost against Plainfield South back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Oswego Panthers took a hard 64-50 fall against the Plainfield South Cougars. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Plainfield South got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was La'Niya Willis out in front who posted 16 points and three steals. Willis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Tierra Abner, who scored 18 points and five rebounds.

Oswego's record is now 9-11. As for Plainfield South, they moved to 9-11 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Oswego has already played their next match, a 62-37 win against Central on the 18th. As for Plainfield South, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-47 defeat against Naperville North on the 18th.
