The Riverside Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Boiling Springs Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Boiling Springs will be up against a hot Riverside squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Riverside really took it to Eastside for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-18 win. The Warriors pushed the score to 48-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles had little chance of recovering from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elly Trickett, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Trickett's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Powell, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards.
Riverside smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boiling Springs). They blew past Wade Hampton 60-30 on Tuesday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-14.
Boiling Springs found their leader in sophomore Makenzie Kinard, who went 9 for 17 en route to 22 points in addition to five assists and five steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Kinard has scored at least a third of Boiling Springs' points. Another player making a difference was Brynn Tipton, who posted 11 points.
Boiling Springs' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14. As for Riverside, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Riverside hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 63.5 points per game. It's a different story for Boiling Springs, though, as they've been averaging only 38 points. The only thing between Riverside and another offensive beatdown is Boiling Springs. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Everything came up roses for Riverside against Boiling Springs in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 69-39 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Kinard, who went 7 of 13 on her way to 22 points and three steals. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Riverside still be able to contain Kinard? There's only one way to find out.
