Basketball Recap: Lafayette Central Catholic Takes a Loss

Lafayette Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 57-38 to the West Lafayette Red Devils. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Red Devils are ranked 80th).

Despite the loss, Lafayette Central Catholic still got an impressive performance from Ray Clayton, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave Clayton a new career-high. Charlie Seaburg was another key player, putting up eight points.

Lafayette Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for West Lafayette, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.

Looking ahead, Lafayette Central Catholic will be playing at home against Crawfordsville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
