Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Christian Patriots vs. Durham Flight HomeSchool Flight

The Liberty Christian Patriots just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Durham Flight HomeSchool Flight at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Durham Flight HomeSchool likes a good challenge.

Liberty Christian is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Tabernacle Christian: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Liberty Christian blew Tabernacle Christian out of the water with an 85-43 final score. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 22 points or more this season.

Jakeem Bradford continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 32 points along with eight assists and eight boards. His evening made it 15 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Ian Sterrett was another key player, scoring 19 points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Durham Flight HomeSchool ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They managed a 60-55 victory over Emerson Waldorf. The win was some much needed relief for the Flight as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Liberty Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.6 points per game. As for Durham Flight HomeSchool, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Everything came up roses for Liberty Christian against Durham Flight HomeSchool in their previous meeting back in January of 2020, as the squad secured a 66-36 victory.
