After a string of three wins, Windsor's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 3-1 loss to the De La Salle Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Spartans are ranked 48th).

Windsor's goal came courtesy of Daniel Lopez, who's now up to seven this season.

Windsor's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2-1. As for De La Salle, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Windsor duke it out with the Analy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Windsor is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season. As for De La Salle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Monte Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
