Softball Recap: Athens Comes Up Short

Athens was the 7-3 winner over Huntsville when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Eagles fell 6-2 to the Panthers on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Athens saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Lowery, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Athens' loss dropped their record down to 26-14. As for Huntsville, their victory bumped their record up to 25-13-2.

Coming up, Athens will host Brooks at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Huntsville, they will head out to take on Hartselle at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
