Baseball Game Preview: Falkville Blue Devils vs. Hanceville Bulldogs

Falkville hasn't had much luck against Hanceville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Falkville has given up an average of 12 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Falkville is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Monday. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 17-15 heartbreaker at the hands of Athens Bible.

Bryant Owens led a balanced group of hitters, going 1-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Denver Comstock, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hanceville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-4 win over Pennington on Wednesday.

Falkville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Hanceville, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-12.

Falkville might still be hurting after the 13-3 loss they got from Hanceville in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
