Basketball Recap: Waynesboro Takes a Loss

Waynesboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were dealt a 71-33 loss at the hands of the Staunton Storm. While losing is never fun, the Little Giants can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while the Storm are ranked 39th).

Waynesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Staunton, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-2.

Looking ahead, Waynesboro will take on Buffalo Gap at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Staunton, they will host Riverheads at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
