Volleyball Recap: Mound City Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Mound City, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Rock Port Blue Jays on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Blue Jays last Saturday, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 22-25, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Rock Port saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Raylynn Jenkins had five digs and two aces.

Mound City pushed their record up to 9-6-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Rock Port, their defeat ended a six-match streak of away wins and brought them to 18-5-3.
