Recap: Linden Lions vs. Golden Valley Cougars
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Linden Lions walked away with it. They didn't even let Golden Valley onto the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Friday. The win was nothing new for Linden as they're now sitting on three straight.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Linden's defense and their four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Julian Torres and Jesus Gonzales who racked up four sacks between them.
When it comes to explaining why Golden Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jonah White. Despite the final result, he gained 145 total yards.
Linden's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Golden Valley, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-5.
Linden will challenge Grant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grant has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 325 points over their last six contests. Golden Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
