After a string of four wins, Kinkaid's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to the Boswell Pioneers 57-53. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Pioneers are ranked first).

Kinkaid's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Boswell, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-1.

Kinkaid won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tournament Opponent on Saturday. As for Boswell, they and Duncanville will face off at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
