Recap: Port St. Lucie Jaguars vs. Treasure Coast Titans
It was a good run, but the Port St. Lucie Jaguars unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Treasure Coast. Port St. Lucie has struggled against Treasure Coast recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Port St. Lucie still got an impressive performance from Ryan Rodriguez, who scored 28 points along with 7 rebounds. The game was Rodriguez's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Javien Sapienza, who scored 10 points along with 6 assists.
Port St. Lucie's defeat dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Treasure Coast, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Port St. Lucie will be playing in front of their home fans against Somerset College Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Somerset College Prep Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 401st, while Port St. Lucie is ranked 54th). As for Treasure Coast, they will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln Park Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
