Softball Recap: Saint Joseph Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Saint Joseph was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 11-2 to the Bishop Amat Lancers. The Jesters have struggled against the Lancers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Morgan Mora made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Breanna Ochoa, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Even though they lost, Saint Joseph hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in four consecutive matches.

Saint Joseph's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Bishop Amat, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Coming up, Saint Joseph will take on Covina in a tournament on Saturday. As for Bishop Amat, they will welcome Saint Joseph at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
