Baseball Recap: Oostburg Takes a Loss

Oostburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-5 to the Ozaukee Warriors. The Flying Dutchmen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Lucas Lemahieu was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Devon Wilterdink, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Oostburg's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Ozaukee, they moved to 6-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While Oostburg had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
