Cornerstone Academy extends road losing streak to three

The Cornerstone Academy Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They suffered a tough 67-42 defeat at the hands of Redeemer Christian. Cornerstone Academy has not had much luck with Redeemer Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Redeemer Christian was led to victory by Beau Suarez and Patrick Miller-Edwards. Suarez scored 19 points along with six steals and five rebounds, while Miller-Edwards dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller-Edwards has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Davis Lehman, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.

Cornerstone Academy dropped their record down to 1-12 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Redeemer Christian, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Cornerstone Academy will face off against Redeemer Christian at TBD on Tuesday. As for Redeemer Christian, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Aucilla Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. One thing working in Aucilla Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups.
